“As expected…the ASC has accepted our request to join them, but…”
Rivalle rolled her eyes, glaring out of the windows of her office at the roiling storm beyond. “But they did not allow us a full seat at the table. They don’t trust us, Schneider, especially not with Veylani leading the charge out there. It doesn’t matter; I’ve always played the long game, so this time will be no different. Finish your task and report back to me at once.”
“Yes, ma’am,” said Schneider, his mouth opening to continue, though Rivalle cut the feed before he could say anything else. Lindermann could have gotten DSM a full seat even with the situation they had found themselves in, but Rivalle had yet to find a suitable replacement for him since Veylani had managed to usurp control over the doppelganger and taken back her company. The fact that Rivalle had to pay licensing fees to Veylani to allow her fleet to make use of the new A-TK drives and super-carriers galled her to no end, but Rivalle had to reluctantly give credit to her former plaything; Releana Veylani had been quick to secure her place at the top of the food chain when that new drive technology had been developed to allow travel through the Demon Barrier, and her transport company had immediately become the hottest investment in the known galaxy.
Rivalle tapped a button on her desk, and the isolation field that had been surrounding it dropped. Her ears immediately picked up on the sound of heated panting and moaning mixed with a wet squishing sound. She turned her chair to face her guest, her lips already curling into a smile, though it was nothing to do with the business she had just attended. No, this smile was born of her sadistic nature, of her pleasure at watching Lila Darius suffer.
Not the real Lila Darius, unfortunately, but a very similar-looking kerryn woman who had served in Lila’s place for quite some time now as one of Rivalle’s stress dolls; she couldn’t be bothered to remember her real name at the moment. The real Lila Darius was off in the Demon Sector, having spearheaded the rush to begin exploring the newly accessible region of space. It had always been something of a dream, to find a way beyond the Demon Barrier, an impenetrable maelstrom of radiation, violent electrical discharges, and pure raw magical energy that kept any probes or ships from passing through it. Even skirting the Barrier had its risks, and taking a ship fully inside of it was suicide. There were no safe routes, as it was always shifting and roiling like a violent sea, reforming itself almost like it were a living entity composed of pure chaos…but somehow, Veylani and Darius had found a way to modify the TK drives to allow safe passage through the Barrier. DSM’s own Arcane Research and Development department had been trying to do that for over a century now. How had those two managed such a feat?
Rivalle remembered the day of the first breach well, like a fiery spike driven into her brain. Each time these memories surfaced, she just couldn’t stop thinking of the humiliation it had caused her. The fact that she had only found out about it after everything had already happened from a public broadcast from Veylani Transport made it sting all the worse. A detachment from DSM’s largest fleet had been pursuing Darius and her tiny transport ship and had nearly caught them for capture and return to Rivalle. Somehow that band of misfits had eluded them for months and had not only managed to retake Veylani’s transport company, but to discover a way into the Demon Sector.
Even now, Rivalle fought the urge to snarl and lash out at her stress doll; Rivalle’s special guest seemed to be enjoying itself with the plaything, so she wouldn’t interfere. Still, the memories burned hot within her mind as she recalled the special broadcast from Veylani, an emergency press conference she had called announcing something huge. She hadn’t said much at first, instead playing a pre-recorded transmission from Lila Darius, apparently which had started in the midst of Rivalle’s fleet chasing her down in the space beyond Sentinel Prime.
Darius had been completely in control, no panic at all as Rivalle’s fleet had closed in on her, had started by casually recounting the recorded history of the Barrier and the attempts to breach it, and had even shown video of the DSM fleet bearing down behind them. As they had approached the Barrier, in what had been initially considered a suicidal attempt to escape Rivalle’s forced, they’d activated their new prototype drive, the very first prototype of the Advanced TK-Drive, and had flown straight into the Barrier. DSM’s command ship had attempted, stupidly, to follow, as had several other ships, upon seeing that Darius’s transport hadn’t been immediately destroyed and had continued without issue deeper inside. The lead ship had been obliterated by the Barrier almost before it had fully moved inside, and several other ships that had followed were severely damaged, two of them having to be completely scrapped once they’d limped back to port.
Darius’s recording had continued, treating the chase as a minor inconvenience at worst. She had shown several of her ship’s telemetry and sensor readouts, confirming they were on their way through the barrier. They couldn’t make the jump into hyperspace within the barrier itself, meaning it would take them several hours to make the transition. The recording had cut, then resumed, the chronometer display confirming it had been about six hours since they’d dove into the barrier. Darius had confirmed the readouts again, then panned to the view from the cockpit as the Barrier grew less intense, then faded into the view of a distant nebula and unfamiliar stars beyond. Though the Demon Sector had been named due to the fact that only seventy-two stars had been discovered by long-range observation, each having been named after a demon, it certainly contained countless more within its expanse.
Veylani had ended the recording there, and was quick to bring Darius and her crew out for the media to see, answering what questions they could while providing copies of their ship’s sensor data as proof that they hadn’t simply faked everything. Within the following week, multiple independent and corporate groups had reviewed everything Veylani had provided, and could find no signs it had been a hoax. Veylani and Darius had somehow found a way into the Demon Sector.
To say that had been a bad day for Rivalle’s company would be an understatement. Stocks had fallen sharply when investors had pulled out and thrown their money behind Veylani’s company when she had made the proclamation that the Advanced TK drives would be available for lease from her company soon, and that plans were already in the works for an official scientific exploration to begin.
Still, Rivalle could manage some small comfort watching her Lila Darius stand-in writhing within the slimy grasp of a dozen tentacles. The shokushu-juu seemed to be enjoying itself, its mottled green and brown appendages wrapped firmly around the kerryn’s limbs and neck, wound several times around her breasts, the smaller ends of those tentacles further wrapped tightly around her nipples, and the other tentacles pushing into her mouth, pussy, and ass, her flesh covered in a mix of sweat and slime. She’d already cum several times, her eyes rolling in her head as the powerful psychic connection with the shokushu-juu overwhelmed her nerves and her mind. The touch of a shokushu-juu was quite exhilarating, though prolonged contact tended to evolve into an addiction.
“It is as we had assumed it would be; DSM has permission to join the station, but not upon the ruling board.”
The shokushu-juu’s flesh rippled, and it shifted the kerryn, spreading her legs wide as it turned her to face Rivalle. The kerryn’s distant eyes focused upon Rivalle, and the tentacle slid from her mouth. “Then our business venture has officially begun, yes?” she said, her voice echoing with another voice, wetter and deeper; that was the thing that held her tightly within its grasp.
Rivalle nodded. “We shall establish our presence at Aphelion Station, and then your forces can move in and begin directing things to our mutual advantage. It shouldn’t take more than a month to have our part of the station fully up and running; I’ve had the ships prepared to launch all week.”
“Excellent,” it said through the kerryn, its grasping tentacles writhing, tightening around the plaything, making her moan without its voice. Then it spoke through her again. “This plaything’s mind has information that interests me. The one it stands for, this Lila Darius, is within the Demon Sector currently, yes?”
“At last report,” Rivalle replied carefully. Darius had been quite keen on diving back into the Demon Sector immediately, hoping to be the first to find some great treasure or make a bigger name for herself than she already had.
“And you want this Lila Darius, yes? It would…please you to have it?” When Rivalle didn’t reply, the stress doll’s lips curled into a smile. “What would it be worth to you then? Your unofficial bounties have yet to bear fruit, yes? And she has caused you so much distress. Much distress indeed. This one suffers much in Lila Darius’s place. It would be much better to have the original here, yes?”
“I’m not altering the deal we’ve already established,” Rivalle replied curtly.
The shokushu-juu shifted, rotating the stress doll so that it was inverted, its head dangling toward the creature’s larger body, which rested upon a floating platform, while its tentacle-stuffed pussy was in a position more aligned to where its head should have otherwise been. “Nor am I. I offer another deal. We can find this Lila Darius for you, yes. We have hunters you do not, and ways you do not.”
Rivalle steepled her fingers and leaned forward, but kept her face neutral. “And what do you want in return for this?”
The kerryn panted, hot and fast, as the tentacles writhed within her, but spoke again with the shokushu-juu’s voice. “To say that I hold no desire to taste your flesh would be a lie, Rivalle Volcarri. I can sense the strength of your essence.” The way the shokushu-juu made the stress doll leer at Rivalle made its intentions quite clear. “But that would not be conducive to a long-term relationship, yes? Though our tastes are similar… Instead, in return for this Lila Darius, I simply wish to sample your other playthings. You have a large collection, yes? Rare and exotic, yes? All with unique flavors to savor…”
Rivalle raised an eyebrow, her mind immediately running through her many collected playthings, trying to decide which one the shokushu-juu was interested in. It couldn’t simply want to sample her slaves; there was always another angle, especially when beings as ancient as the shokushu-juu were concerned. By the number of tentacles this one possessed, it was at least twelve-hundred years old, if what they knew of the species was accurate, anyway. It wanted someone specific at the very least, if not several of them; there were always layers of plot when the shokushu-juu were involved, so there had to be something more than simply playing with slaves. “You wish…simply to sample my private collection?”
“An extended sampling, yes,” it replied, easing the kerryn to the floor, forcing her to rest on all fours as the tentacles pounded powerfully into her lower holes. “One must savor one’s pleasures, yes? And…many doors lie before you, Rivalle Volcarri. How many more could you open with such an ally as myself, yes?”
Rivalle remained silent for a few moments, watching as the stress doll grunted and moaned, its eyes rolling again as the tentacle returned to its mouth, thrusting down its throat. She continued watching as the kerryn’s body shuddered and went rigid, yet another powerful orgasm exploding within her. The doll gagged and choked on the tentacle in her mouth, coughing up some of the whitish slime as the appendage pulled itself free. The scent of the doll’s sex juices mingled with the strong, almost-stomach-turning odor of the shokushu-juu, forming something almost bearable.
“Very well,” Rivalle said at last. It was a calculated gamble, an opportunity to learn more about what this particular shokushu-juu wanted, perhaps even what it was plotting, or even a weakness. For now it was an ally, but they were known for plots that could easily last centuries. Could she match wits with such a being? Rivalle held a smirk in check. Of course she could; she was in control here; the shokushu-juu tended to think themselves above other races, but she certainly held no such illusions. Challenging opponents perhaps, but superior beings? Hardly. “I shall arrange for you to visit my private farm on an extended basis, and we can discuss our future business over the screams of my playthings.”
“Excellent; a very good decision, yes,” said the creature. “Send word to my ship when your preparations are complete; I shall remain here for a time, at least until after your first showing, yes?” The tentacles slid out of the stress doll and finally released its hold upon the doll, and the kerryn immediately cried out in a mixture of overwhelming pleasure and pain as her sensitized nerves were suddenly experiencing sensations that were probably unlike anything she had ever dreamed of before.
The shokushu-juu waved its tentacles at Rivalle in what she had come to understand as their version of a formal bow. She nodded deeply in return as its hover-sled moved it silently to the door of the office, its quartet of humanoid attendants joining it beyond the portal: another scantily clad female kerryn it normally used for its mouthpiece, two heavily armed equinarian bodyguards, and a pale-skinned ‘succubus’, her demonic ancestry showing plainly through her tail and curled horns, her attire only slightly less revealing than that of the kerryn.
Once the doors had closed, Rivalle stood, blowing out her breath, and looked with disapproval at the kerryn twitching and writhing on the fluid-covered floor. She hit a button on her desk. “Have the cleaning crew come up here at once; might I suggest sponges and air fresheners?” Rivalle ended the call before a reply came, then tapped another button to summon her own guards to deal with the twitching kerryn stress doll. It would take some time for her to recover, but once she had, there would be some severe punishment in store for her. Even if she’d had no way to prevent the shokushu-juu from reading her mind while it was using her for its pleasures and as a mouthpiece, the stress doll had caused Rivalle to have to make another deal she hadn’t wanted to make, all because of Lila Darius.
Hello everyone! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?
This is a story I wrote sometime last year, just a short character-building piece to get myself in the mindset of Rivalle, who is, as you may have guessed, the primary antagonist for my Lila Darius stories. And I wanted some tentacle monster x catgirl action, so there’s that as well, lol. As far as the timeline here is concerned… and I need to solidify that…but this takes place some time after the Lila stories I’ve already done (Lila’s Haunted Asylum Misadventure and Sealed Pleasures), after Lila and crew make a big wave in the galaxy. This also serves as a bit of development for the tabletop RPG that I’m developing alongside the stories, as a major aspect of it will involve exploring the newly opened Demon Sector.
I have a few other shorts like this done already (though they’re a bit longer), and have additional ones planned for the future as well to further build this setting. I’ve also got a start on the next big Lila Darius story, namely the first one chronologically, which will tell how Lila met Kori and Releana and got on Rivalle’s bad side. This is intended as a full length novel, and so far, I’ve gotten three complete chapters and have outlined the rest of the book, though I’ll be adding a new one to spice up the opening.
I had intended to do a lot more posting of stories the last few months, but life has taken some strange turns this year. Though I’ve kept up with my writing mostly consistently since the last story I posted, Anything for a Scoop, I was in a pretty rough spot mentally at the start of the year. I was still dealing with the loss of my best friend from September last year as I had to take care of a lot of the paperwork that still lingered after his death, and my job had gotten to the point where it was basically killing me slowly. New health issues just kept cropping up, my existing ones kept getting worse, and nothing was getting better at the office no matter what we tried to do to alleviate some of the problems.
It was during the first couple of months that I really considered what I needed to do to change things for the better, so that’s when I decided to make my exit. I needed a change, sooner rather than later, so I quit in early April. I’ve been trying to get things in order for myself since, and generally, my health has seen vast improvements, especially my mental state. I think I might have been approaching actual depression if I wasn’t already there, but now I’m feeling pretty good. I’m getting my other health issues under control slowly but surely, and am trying to make additional changes to some bad habits that still linger from the office days. Time is just flying by so fast, it’s hard to believe its been a full three months since I quit; some weeks go by in the blink of an eye, it seems.
I hope you enjoy the story; if you liked it, please let me know! I intend to get into a more regular pattern of posting going forward; I have quite a few stories that are progressing steadily, but also want to get a handle on my wordiness by doing intentionally shorter works as quick little word building exercises.
Stay tuned, everyone! Good stuff is inbound!
